ROHM’s BH1749NUC is a digital color sensor IC with an I2C bus interface. It detects red, green, blue (RGB) and infrared rays and then converts them to digital values. High sensitivity, wide dynamic range, and excellent IR cut characteristics make it possible to accurately calculate the illuminance and color temperature of ambient light. The BH1749 is ideal for adjusting LCD backlighting in TVs, mobile phones, and tablet PCs, as well as color matching in smartphone cameras.
