MAX16141 Ideal Diode Controllers: Maxim Integrated MAX16141 Ideal Diode Controllers provide system protection against a variety of system faults such as reverse-current, overcurrent, input overvoltage/under-voltage, and overtemperature conditions. These MAX16141 diode controllers come with 3.5V to 36V wide operating voltage range and 5µA (typical) shutdown current. The MAX16141 controllers employ an integrated charge pump that drives the gate of the back-to-back external nFETs 9V above the source connection. This minimizes power loss between the source and load. The MAX16141 controllers employ low-power shutdown that reduces battery drain. These MAX16141 diode controllers isolate failed supply from the load by bidirectional current blocking on open and bidirectional voltage on open.
