DPS1113 USB-C™ Power Switch: Diodes Inc. DPS1113 USB-C™ Power Switch is a single-channel power switch compatible with fast role swap (FRS) of the USB power delivery specification release 3.0, V1.1 (USB PD 3.0) and the USB Type-C™ connector specification release 1.2. DPS1113 has a maximum continuous current of up to 3.5A. The USB-C™ switch combines two very low, RDS(ON)_TYP at ≤30mΩ N-MOSFET switches. The N-MOSFET switch is guaranteed to turn ON within the tSrcFRSwap time so that VBUS is at the USB PD 3.0 required VSAFE5V voltage level. Comprehensive fault detection and recovery mechanisms such as input under voltage lock-out, reverse voltage & current blocking, thermal shut-down, overcorrect & short-circuit protection help ensure system integrity. Other features include adjustable DV/DT, current and voltage limit, and port discharge & current monitor output via the onboard 115Ω resistor. The DPS1113 is designed to operate between 4.5V and 5.5V and can withstand reverse voltages of up to 30V maximum. Many parameters are adjustable via external resistors for usability and flexibility. The power switch is packaged in a halogen and antimony-free, RoHS compliant QFN package. The thermally efficient QFN package provides sufficiently low surface temperature during operation. With a small 4mm x 4mm footprint and height of 0.8mm, the DPS1113 is ideal for docking stations, universal and multimedia hubs, FPTVs, mobile and desktop computing, instrumentation, AR/VR goggles, and more.
