HMC8142 E-Band Power Amplifier: Analog Devices HMC8142 is designed as an integrated, gallium arsenide (GaAs), pseudomorphic (pHEMT), monolithic microwave integrated circuit (MMIC), E-band, medium-power amplifier. The HMC8142 amplifier includes a temperature-compensated, on-chip power detector operating from 81GHz to 86GHz. The HMC8142 offers 21dB gain, 25dBm output power at 1dB compression, and 29dBm output third-order intercept. The device also provides 26dBm saturated output power at 20% power added efficiency (PAE) from a 4V power supply. The HMC8142 achieves excellent linearity. The design is optimized for E-band communications and high-capacity, wireless, backhaul radio systems. The amplifier configuration and high gain make the HMC8142 an excellent option for last-stage, signal amplification before the antenna. The chip in a 50Ω test fixture connected through a 3mm × 0.05mm × 7mm ribbon on each port takes all data information.Learn More
