High-Temperature Sensitive Alternistor TRIACs
Littelfuse High-Temperature Sensitive Alternistor TRIACs are a combination of space-saving packaging and high-temperature capabilities. These triacs are well-suited for IoT applications that require compact designs without the involvement of continuous high currents. The high-temperature sensitive alternistor triacs feature clip-attach assembly combined with 150°C high maximum junction temperature. These triacs also provide 8A AC control in a compact surface-mount package. The high-temperature alternistor triacs provide larger thermal margin in design and ensures higher surge capability to withstand short-duration overload conditions. Typical applications include motor control and large appliances, lighting AC control, building automation, and industrial control.
LJxx08xx & QJxx08xHx Triacs
Littelfuse LJxx08xx and QJxx08xHx Triacs are 8A, high-temperature sensitive, and alternistor (high-commutation) solid-state switching triacs designed for AC switching and phase control applications. These triacs come with sensitive type components that guarantee gate control in quadrants I and IV needed for digital control circuitry. The LJxx08xx and QJxx08xHx triacs employ alternistor type components that only operate in the quadrants I, II, and III. These triacs are used in circuits that require high dv/dt capability. The LJxx08xx and QJxx08xHx triacs incorporate solid-state switching that eliminates arcing or contact bounce that creates voltage transients. Typical applications include heating, lighting, motor speed controls, AC solid-state switches, light dimmers, power tools, home/brown goods, and white goods appliances.
