MP3431 Switching Regulators: MPS MP3431 Switching Regulators are highly integrated boost converters with a 600kHz fixed-frequency, wide input range and comes in a QFN-13 (3mm x 4mm) package. The programmable input current limit feature of these regulators provide accurate overload protection. These converters offer the selection of Pulse-Skip Mode (PSM), Forced Continuous Conduction Mode (FCCM), and Ultrasonic Mode (USM) in light-load condition. The MP3431 synchronous boost converters start from an input voltage as low as 2.7V and support up to 30W of load power from a 1-cell battery.The MP3431 regulators adopt constant-off-time (COT) control topology to provide a fast transient response. The cycle-by-cycle current limit on the low-side MOSFET prevents current runaway and the high-side MOSFET eliminates the need for an external Schottky diode. These boost converters are designed with Over-Temperature Protection (OTP) and programmable input Under-voltage Lockout (UVLO) protections. Applications include notebooks, Bluetooth speakers, portable Point Of Sale (POS) systems, e-cigarettes, and quick-charge power banks.Learn more
