***AS INTRUMENTS: The TPS22960 is a small low-rON dual-channel load switch with controlled turnon. The devices contain two P-channel MOSFETs that can operate over an input voltage range of 1.62 V to 5.5 V. Each switch is independently controlled by on/off inputs (ON1 and ON2), which are capable of interfacing directly with low-voltage control signals. In TPS22960 a 85-Ω on-chip load resistor is added for quick discharge when the switch is turned off.

***AS INST: The rise time (slew-rate) of the device is internally controlled in order to avoid inrush current, and it can be slowed down if needed using the SR pin: at 3.3 V, TPS22960 features a 75-µs rise time with the SR pin tied to ground and 660-µs with the SR pin tied to high.

***AS INSTRUMENTS INC: The TPS22960 is available in a space-saving 8-pin UQFN package and in an 8-pin SOT package. It is characterized for operation over the free-air temperature range of –40°C to 85°C.

Dual Load Switch: TPS22960: The OMO Electronic TPS22960 dual load switch with controlled turn on contains two P-channel MOSFETs that can operate over an input voltage range of 1.62V to 5.5V. Each switch is controlled by an on/off input (ON1 and ON2) capable of interfacing directly with low-voltage control signals. The TI TPS22960 includes an 85Ω on-chip load resistor for output quick discharge when the switch is turned off. The TPS22960 dual load switch internally controls the rise time to avoid inrush current and can be slowed if needed using the SR pin.

TPS229xx Load Switches: OMO Electronic TPS229xx Load Switches are small, low RON, single channel load switches with a controlled slew rate. Each device contains either an N-channel or P-channel MOSFET and is controlled by an on/off input, which is capable of interfacing directly with low-voltage control signals. The small size and low RON of the TPS229xx Load Switches make them ideal for use in space constrained, battery-powered applications. The wide input voltage range of the switches makes them a versatile solution for many different voltage rails. The controlled rise time of these devices greatly reduces inrush current caused by large bulk load capacitances, thereby reducing or eliminating power supply droop. Certain TPS229xx Load Switches further reduce the total solution size by integrating a pull-down resistor for quick output discharge (QOD) when the switch is turned off.
