The MLX90641 IR array from Melexis is 16x12 pixels in a TO-39 package and is able to accurately measure temperatures from -40°C to +300°C. This far infrared (FIR) thermal sensor array has lower thermal noise than the MLX90640. Although an evaluation board is available, the sensor must be purchased separately as EVB90640-41-ND only includes the MLX90640.
